Beautiful Eggs...

I ♥ Eggs...
We got 18 eggs yesterday from our 28 girls.

I was so excited when I found our 1st egg... on Aug. 4. I havent bought store eggs since! I love going to the coop and collecting eggs, lol. The most we've gotten in a day has been 24, the lowest 11. We collected 118 eggs last week... our families and friends love them too.

Our 3 Roosters...

Yesterday I took some pic. of our 3 Roosters...
They all get along pretty good, they have 28 girls to protect.

They come on the back porch looking for cat food! When I feed our outside cat I only put alittle in the dish cause I dont think cat food is good for chickens.

The Guineas...

When I looked out the back door yesterday morning this is what I saw...

3 out of our 5 guineas sitting on the porch rail, lol

Then they decided to fly to the roof...

He/She is getting ready to go up there with the rest of them...

Then they flew right back down into the yard to peck around, lol

All 5 of them...

I still have no idea how many boys/girls we have or what kind we have...
Oh well I'll be hunting the yard this Spring looking for guinea eggs

2nd BO Broody...

I know, I know... I said I wasnt going to hatch anymore chickies til Spring, but I just cant help myself!!! I ♥ Chickens and their eggs! Whats a couple more chickies when you already have 40...... I put 5 eggs under her. (3 EE, 1 BO or RIR, cant tell and 1 bantam)

If I get another bantam egg today I'm going to put it under her too :)

Start look for chickies around Thanksgiving... they are my b-day present to me

I took these pics. Oct. 25, the chickies are a month old in them... today they are 5 weeks old and we only have 5 now, the outside cat got one the other night, so I'm not letting them free range unless I am right there... Momma is not too happy about that!
