Porkchop Out In the Snow...

Heres my lil baby Porkchop out in the snow for the 1st time, she did pretty good. She really didnt like the cold wind that was blowin. But I was takin her out to go potty...

* We started havin alittle problem with Porkchop using the potty on the carpet, she has done it 3 times in different areas. It was driving me nuts, I couldnt understand why she would start doing that after all this time of doing so good... guess I shouldnt have bragged on her so much?!?!? Anyways, shes doing great now. We had moved the family room around a day before shes started using the bathroom on the floor so I really think that messed her up, I've read that any kind of change will upset potbelly pigs and I think she was needing a bigger potty box so we got her a long short storage container, the kind you can roll under your bed and it works great. We also made her area even bigger, its a big square now and shes much happier. I was keepin her in her area all the time cause I was scared she would potty on the floor some more, well yesterday I made sure she wet potty in her box then let her out for some playtime in the family room with us watchin her. She did good and was happy to get out to eat carpet fuzz, lol. Then I put her in her potty box every hour to see if she had to go. I do take her outside to potty when the weather permits, yesterday it was rainy here and I didnt take her out, I just didnt want to deal with the mud, so as long as she uses her box we are all good.

** Last night I was holdin her in my lap on the couch watchin tv and had Dylan take a pic of us and I was thinkin before long I wont beable to snuggle with her like that.... sniff sniff, lol These are gonna be my next weeks Shoot Me Pics. on my All Because 2 People Fell In Love blog.

Contest... Guess Porkchops Weight

...Hello Blogger Buddies...
Our Little Farm is havin its very 1st contest! To enter just guess how much you think our potbelly piglet Porkchop weighs, shes 3 months now... I havent never weighed her until today, I was sittin beside her earlier today, giving her a belly rub and thinkin about how small she was when I first got her at 3 weeks old... my how shes grown! Anyways... it got me thinkin that it would be fun to have a contest and let you all guess how much she weighs.

Whoever guesses the closest to the correct amount will win, if theres more than 1 person then they will have their name put into a bowl and whoevers name gets drawn out wins. The winner will receive a decorated birdhouse gourd and a dried sunflower head to hang outside and watch the wild birds feast upon or give it to your chickens as a treat.

Contest will end... This Friday, Dec. 31 and I'll post the winner on Jan. 1

I let the Chickens out to do some free ranging yesterday... it was so pretty with the snow and sunshine I had to take some pictures. Sorry ya'll but this post is picture heavy I just loved all the pics. I took and couldnt just pick a few... lol. Ya'll know I get picture takin happy!

We've had to make her pig pen area alittle bigger... here where we keep her when we need a piggysitter for her, lol. I do think I'm gonna have Brian add another board to make it longer so she has more room to play.

Update on live trap... The trap was set again last night, NOTHING! It had to be them dogs, you would think if it was something else if would have been back, would it?

Wishin For Spring...

Heres Porkchop munchin on some carrots and wishin for spring so she can get back to playin outside, I'm sure she misses going out for playtime I know I do!

Update On Ducks... we got our 5 Muscovies locked in one of our chicken coops, I'm sure they are not happy about it but I dont want whatever killed Ducky to get them too. Last night we sat out a live trap (one of our neighbors let us use his). I went out this mornin all was safe, there was nothing in the trap but the door had been triggered. So we will bait it again tonight...

Goodbye Ducky...

Went out to feed/water the animals and found something very sad, something attacked the ducks last night or this mornin. Our ducky got killed, our 5 Musovies got away from whatever it was.... Heres a few of my favorite pics. of Ducky to remember him by.
