May Chicks

Poor Chipmunk is back in the barnyard run... she didnt bring me any babies back from her hidden nest, I guess something got them! This was her 3rd time this year going broody and NOT hatching out babies... I feel sorry for her. I wish she would make her nest in the coop or our yard... but she doesnt she goes in the neighbors pasture were I cant find her. Was thinking about clipping her wings so she cant fly out of the coop... do you think it would work?

Old MacDonald Had A Farm, ee-i-ee-i-o

And on that farm she had a BROODY, ee-i-ee-i-o,
With a bawk here and a bawk, bawk there
Here a bawk, there a bawk, everywhere a bawk, bawk
Old MacDonald had a farm, ee-i-ee-i-o.
* My Goodness I have had so many broodies this spring/summer... 10 to be exact! We've been gone all day and when we got home I went out to feed, water, collect eggs and found these 3 in The Hillbilly Hen House, they each have 1 egg under them. Now I put Chicken Noodle (1 of our BO roosters) in with them a couple weeks go, so I'm hoping they're gonna hatch out pure Buff Orpingtons.

Bawk, Bawk............
(Hummm, I wonder if these 2 are gonna stay in the same next box?)

My young chickies

Gosh they're already 1 month old... Their all doing great running around with the rest of the barnyard flock.

March Chickies

April Chickies

Kaylin likes to go to the coop and visit the chickies too

Shes holding Itty Bitty, then it pooed on her, lol

* Itty Bittys Momma started roostin again after about 1 1/2 weeks of taking care of Itty Bitty, so I brought her inside to stay in the brooder with the 3 chickies I kept from my June bator hatch. Itty Bitty is so tiny she cant get back in the coop.
