The Buck House...

Honey was on vacation this week so we got a lot of stuff done in the barnyard that has needed to be done for while now. One of the things that got done was the Buck House for Ringo & Peanut, we covered it with cedar slabs, it looks so great and smells good too.
This bundle of cedar slabs was just $20.00

We put a window in the back and on one of the sides... we'll cover it for winter.  I love peeking in the window to see what the boys are doin, lol.

The other side

The front

 The back... I love it!
My honey even made a cute lil flower box for the window

Inside... they have plenty of room.  We do still need to cover some of the bigger cracks.

 The boys are happy :)

One of these days I'll have some of the main yard fenced off for their munching area... but for now Ijust let them out everyday while I'm out there giving everyone fresh water, then when I'm done I'll sit under the shade of a tree and watch the boys munch a bit longer before I walk then back to their pen... takin time to stop & smell the roses  goat poop, lol

Scarlets 2nd set of ducklins in 2012

We knew she had another hidden nest under the shed, didnt know how many eggs she had or when they were due so yesterday while workin down in the barnyard I heard the chip sound of baby ducklings, I knew she had hatched them, so I grabbed my camera & went to the back of the shed... she was tryin to lead them out into the big bright world... she finally got them out and momma with her 8 ducklings made their way into the barnyard to this watering pan all the baby ducks love to swim in this pan :)

They are so sweet & cute lookin

More Garden Goodies...

We have picked so many wonderful veggies from our garden since my last GARDEN GOODIES post. The lord has truly blessed us this year...

Garden fresh fruits and veggies are the best and we have been eatin so much of this goodness, I love it.  I've also canned and frozen some, given some to family/friends/neighbors, try to sell some when we can and  you know all the barnyard animals get their fair share... Well if Tulip doesnt eat it all first!

"First of the Month" Tulip, Star & 2012 Kids

1st of the month and its time to link up with
Subject: My Kinder Dairy Doe, Tulip

Tulips daughter Cocoa will be 2 months old on May 8.
Then Stars son Boots will be 2 months old on May 12.

Everyone is doin great even though we are having over 100 degrees weather.  I make sure the goats (& other barnyard animals) have plenty of fresh cold water to keep them cool, they have lots of shade down in the woods to hang out in all day.  I havent been takin the girls to the neighbors pasture for one thing its just way to hot & they want to stand at the fence away from the water bucket & yell for their kids... they dont like being away from their kids. I dont take the kids to the pasture because it just too much tryin to walk the girls & their kids all that way, now if I had an opening for them on my property I'd let them all go, but I dont yet.  Hopefully one day.
