Just wanted to share some pics. I took today.

My sweet hen Nutmeg, I hatched her out in March. She likes to fly up on me whenever she feels like it, lol

Ginger... also hatched out in March. Ginger and Nutmeg are hatch mates and 2 of my favorite girls. They are both sweet, sometimes they will sit with me and they let me pet them. I guess they are so friendly cause they are 2 of the 3 chicken I kept from March, so they got alot of attention.

Shes so pretty and soft.

One of our mutt bantam roosters I hatched out in June (I think) he came and sat on my arm while I was watching everyone... Thinkin I might name him Lee Roy

Chipmunk and her chickies... they are almost as big as her now.

I think the whitish one is a boy

Sally Sue, Goldie and Chick... Happy Little Family

Sally and his other girl Cleo

I think this is so cute of Goldie and her chickie

5/6 Ducks enjoying the day in the shade...

"Beautiful"

Ducky

Still waiting to see if Ducky is a he or a she, I have no idea how old Ducky is. Dont see a drake feather... yet.

Looky What I Found This Mornin...

Remember Goldie who went broody way back in August...
I had given her 1 little bantam egg to hatch out but after a week or so I realized it wasnt fertile so I gave her 2 more eggs to hatch ( I think a BO egg and a EE egg). They are due to hatch tomorrow but when I went to feed everyone this mornin I heard a little cheep and knew!!! So I ran back in and got my camera to share our newest little farm addition with all of you :)

Goldie... this was her 1st time going broody and hatchin.

I think her feathers are so pretty.

and theres the 1st chick

I only took it out from under her for a sec. to take this pic. isnt it cute!

****************************************************
And then theres mean ol Sally Sue our 1st bantam rooster, Goldie is his girl and they have their own coop/pen to live in cause he will flog anyone that comes by him... when Goldie went broody I felt sorry for the lil meanie and put 2 of our mixed bantam hens in with them to keep him company... These are Goldies offsprings but not Sally Sues.

I were my boots when I go into his coop, hes flogin me here

Sally Sue and his other girls.

They are from my April Hatch, here they are at 1 month old... Heres the post about them and their hatch mates April Chickies 1 Month Old So I should be getting some new layers this month... yay, more eggs!!!

Roosters To Process...

We've gotten alot of rooster this year, cant keep em all so its time to process pretty soon. Our neighbor is gonna come over and help us, we've only done 1 since we've had chickens and that was last year. I've got 12 in this pen, 1 out free ranging (he flies over when he wants) and I may have a few more young ones running around with my barnyard flock...

Our rooster we processed last year...
Made Homemade Chicken Dumplings with it... Good Stuff
