Breakfast Time...

Took these the other morning while out feeding...

I changed my feed to flock raiser, everyone seems to love it and I'm getting more eggs (nice and strong), I do let them free range everyday (unless we are gone). They get alittle scratch in the mornings and then of course Mommas/babies and ducks are on chick starter still. They all get some of our good scrapes everyday...

Some of our roosters...

Goldie... she has 1 little egg under her

Our ducks are getting more friendly, especially if you have food for them, while I'm feeding them I get to pet them. Our biggest blackish one is the friendliest... I'm thinking it may be a boy, time will tell.

Piper found her some breakfast... she was playing with it.

  1. Hey girl! My how big the duckies have gottn. Is the flock raiser the same as the egg maker crumbles? Thats what mine get and of course some scratch and scraps...have seen it in TSC but dont know anyone who uses it...If I were to use that would I have to still use the crumbles? Just wandering. Also I got the gourd seeds..been meaning to post and I promise I will, time has just been getting away from me lately. But anyway Thank You so much for them. Cant wait to plant them next year.

  2. Your chickens and ducks are so beautiful! You take wonderful pictures, just love looking at them. We feed our chickens layer feed and we seem to get the most eggs out of them.

  7. LOL... Katie. I feed them chick starter in the mornings and then I've been letting them free range... when they go in the chicken run they eat the flock raiser too.
