Flicka Is Home...

Flicka has been at my friends farm since April 17... I was so happy when they brought her home yesterday evening.  I believe Miss. Flicka was happy to be home too. I just love her so much and I really did miss seeing her face, smelling her horse smell, brushing her, walking with her around the main yard, hearing her knicker every single day.  Flicka has a big area here on my lil farm and it has really grown up BUT if she eats it all down then my friend & her husband said Flicka can go visit their farm again til it grows back up thats a big relief cause ya know horses love to eat.

Rachel heres that big cheesy smile of mine, lol

( We also did some duck trading but I'll talk about that in another post)

I think Itty Bitty is wondering what Flicka is.
I believe this is Itty Bittys first time seeing Flicka

I really think Flicka is glad to be home with her mommy

Ringo & Silo in the lil goat pasture

I started locking up "The Goat Girls & Spirit" in their pen/house with water and hay of course in the evenings , then I let Ringo & Silo out of the buck pen/house to munch in the lil pasture for the rest of the evening and in the morning til I get out there and start on chores...  I'll just walked them back to the buck pen/house to spend their day with alittle grain, hay & water. Then let "The goat girls & Spirit back out into the lil pasture for the day. Think this is gonna work out just nicely. Everyone is Happy Happy.

Ringo & Silo are lookin so great! Silo will be as big as Ringo before I know it!  Silo was born in March, hes a big boy... gonna make some beautiful big, strong babies next year.

Garden Goodies, Spirit and Crochet time with Shetland Wool...

Hello World... so far today has been pretty stinking great.  After I had my dose of fb & coffee this morning, it was barnyard chores/garden picking time... todays garden goodies are snowpeas, summer squash, zucchini, collard greens & basil... then I made a great breakfast smoothie.  Was gonna clean house but decided to go outside sit in the shade and enjoy the beauty around me while I crocheted before it got to hot.

 Really nice morning shade...
The view is great too

You can just sit in the shade and watch the garden grow...

or watch the wild birds at the feeders...

or watch the goats in their lil pasture...
This is when I decided to go get Spirit and let him spend some time outside of the pasture with me.

He LOVES to run circles around me...

 Hi Mom

Then hes off to munch on yummy stuff.......

Spirit will be 3 months old on the 21st

I had bought some pretty hand dyed-hand spun 100% Shetland Wool and I have been very excited to work with it.  Its about 180 yards of yarn.  So far I've decided to make myself some fingerless gloves...

One is done.  Gonna be nice & warm this winter...
I know, I know who wants to think about winter in the middle of summer, lol.

Ok... I was being silly with Spirit

Thought I'd better make the yarn into a ball before it got all tangled

Momma duck brought her 15 ducklings over...
they are so cute to watch

This rooster likes to hang out with the duck family...

I'm think this one is gonna grow up into a stinkin rooster!

Gotta go, time to start on dinner :)

Fathers Day 2013

I usually post family stuff on my All Because Two People Fell In Love but not today... I sharing it here... this is how we spent Fathers Day down on the farm.  We made/cooked breakfast together.  Daughter and SIL came over this morning, daughter helped, SIL lounged but we'll forgive him this time, he had pt yesterday.  Then everyone left and went about their day... Honey worked outside and I went to a friends house and took a 2 hour horse ride on her gelding Jackson, it was so nice.  Then when I came home honey had dinner cooked... I could get use to that, Thank ya Honey and Happy Fathers Day.

(our son Blake is not in this picture)

 Good Stuff...
