Garden Goodies, Spirit and Crochet time with Shetland Wool...

Hello World... so far today has been pretty stinking great.  After I had my dose of fb & coffee this morning, it was barnyard chores/garden picking time... todays garden goodies are snowpeas, summer squash, zucchini, collard greens & basil... then I made a great breakfast smoothie.  Was gonna clean house but decided to go outside sit in the shade and enjoy the beauty around me while I crocheted before it got to hot.

 Really nice morning shade...
The view is great too

You can just sit in the shade and watch the garden grow...

or watch the wild birds at the feeders...

or watch the goats in their lil pasture...
This is when I decided to go get Spirit and let him spend some time outside of the pasture with me.

He LOVES to run circles around me...

 Hi Mom

Then hes off to munch on yummy stuff.......

Spirit will be 3 months old on the 21st

I had bought some pretty hand dyed-hand spun 100% Shetland Wool and I have been very excited to work with it.  Its about 180 yards of yarn.  So far I've decided to make myself some fingerless gloves...

One is done.  Gonna be nice & warm this winter...
I know, I know who wants to think about winter in the middle of summer, lol.

Ok... I was being silly with Spirit

Thought I'd better make the yarn into a ball before it got all tangled

Momma duck brought her 15 ducklings over...
they are so cute to watch

This rooster likes to hang out with the duck family...

I'm think this one is gonna grow up into a stinkin rooster!

Gotta go, time to start on dinner :)

I got these 2(and 3 other girls) last summer from a friend when I picked up Porkchop. Well within the first 2 weeks of havin them these 2 decided they were gonna run a way to the neighbors barnyard, so thats where they are livin... for now. One of these days I'm gonna catch them! lol. They've really been comin back over lately...

The are so pretty...

He looks just like my Sally Sue, only bigger

He tries to sweet talk the girls to get close enough to mate them...

He was chasin some of the girls out of the woods & he tries to fight my 2 sweet bantam roosters

Smart Rooster... Our Leghorn

Gottcha!
Hes eatin the seed out of my wild bird tray feeder. I've ran out of B.O.S.S. so I've been puttin scratch in my feeders... well the chickens found it and this is what went on today when I let them out to free range... Guess I need to keep the feeders empty for acouple days, stop using sctatch and get some more B.O.S.S.

Their eatin what he spills, lol

Then he jumps up and knocks the seed out of my hangin bird feeders... for everyone to enjoy.

Then he tried to figure out how to get into my gazebo bird feeder!

Thats it girls go find you own food!
