Come spend the evening with me...

Lately I've been lettin the herd out of the barnyard in the evenings to graze in the main yard... I do this so I can sit, relax & watch them & so I can feed the other animals without the goats eatin all the food! So far its workin great ;)

Peanut... meets Ringo

I walked Peanut over Wed. to hang out with me for the day... as we were walkin the yard I decided he needed to meet Ringo, I wanted to see how they would be... They we're wonderful, not fightin but that might be cause they are close in age or it could just be the Nubian way. I know my neighbors Nubians are very sweet & nice to people & other goats.

(this weekend he will be 2 weeks old)

I fed him a bottle... & he eats off his Maaamaa & Aunt goats

(*really Tulip (head goat) was the only one being mean to Peanut. Later in the evening I took Peanut back to his Maaamaa goat for the night, he was happy to see his family & when I left he was drinkin off his Maamaa )

Beautiful Mutt Rooster...

I hatched this rooster out last spring/summer... hes turned out so beautiful, I love all this colors... I know hes got Easter Egger in him & I was thinkin BO/RIR mix or maybe OEGB? I dont know I have had so many different roosters running around here, I dont know whos matin who most of the time, lol

Ducklings & Worms...

I let momma & her ducklings out to free range on Sunday....They are 1 week old.

Kaylin & I founds lots of worms to throw to the ducklings..

The March 2012 Kids are 1 week old &

...full of spunk...

I have spend sooo much time with these kids since they were born last weekend, I just love em. So much as went on in the past week I dont know if I shared with yall that my neighbor has given me Peanut. I'm leaving him with his herd right now so he can play & learn with his brother & cousins. Hes doin so great, he drinks off both momma does. He knows my voice & comes to me when I go over to visit, he loves to snuggle.

Update on weak buckling.. Peanut

I named him Peanut... Sunday & Monday he started doin so great, big improvement from when he was born, Monday evening I took him back to his herd hoping his momma goat would accept him back. I checked on him lots Tuesday & Wednesday & bottle fed him to make sure he was gettin enough to eat... he would sneak up to either momma does & get a sip here & there from them. As of yesterday I do believe Big Momma accepted him back... isnt that great!

Here is his momma, I call her Big Momma... Peanut is gettin him alittle drinky from her & thats his brother, I just love watchin them play

More Nubian Baby Goats...

The neighbors other doe went into labor & popped 2 sweet lil kids out in less than 2 hours Sunday evening... she was fast... she had a doeling & buckling. Ooo my goodness I'm so inlove with the lil doeling she is BEAUTIFUL. The buckling is cute too but I just love the lil doeling. Momma is doin great with them...

I'm in baby goat heaven when I go to the neighbors barn, I love it! I love to snuggle with them, they are too sweet. I really do have the best neighbor, I love that he has his lil goat herd & I'm seeing & learning all this first hand, its really cool. I'll be a pro when my girls have their babies in May, lol. I think I've been spendin more time in my neighbors goat barn than mine but who can resist all these sweet babies... not me!
