Missin My Pig Already...

This post was very hard for me to publish this mornin...

Some of you know I've been fighting with the decision on what to do with my spoiled piggy for months... I love her with all my heart, I've given her a wonderful home on my lil farm. I made my decision this mornin... Princess Porkchop is goin to go live on my friend Rachels Farm... Wilmoth Farms

I'm fine with my decision but I am sad... today when I let her out of her lil pen to roam the yard I thought to myself... I wont see her rootin in the yard anymore, no more grunts, no more snorts, no more squeals when I'm not fast enough with her food, no more scrap piggy bowl in the kitchen, no more belly scratches, belly rubs, no more Here.... Piggy Piggy. I know shes goin to a very good home & that I can go see her anytime, she'll be about 30 mins away. I sure am gonna miss this pig... she stole my heart the 1st time I picked her up to snuggle. I have so many memories of our adventures with her that I will cherish a lifetime & so will my husband & kids.

I ♥ Her.

The very 1st time I saw her, fell in love with her & brought her home,
Heres my very 1st blog post about her...
Meet Porkchop...
(this makes me want to cry)

ps Told my friend if for some reason it doesnt work out I'll take my piggy back.

  3. Im heart is aching for you. But I’m sure you made the right decision. My husband always says, that comes with having animals, it hurts when one dies or you have to rehome one.. <3

  4. I was just thinking about Porkchop the other day. I'm sure he will be loved at his new home but I do understand. Lots of love.

  5. are you giving her away because she needs company or because she is too big to be a spoiled pet?

i hope she will be happy.

  6. We are all SO excited about bringing Princess Porkchop home to our farm! AND had you not "wandered" a "tad" from the directions, we are actually about a 20 minutes stones throw down the road! :-D
She will be much loved! I cannot wait to see the neighbors faces as we take a walk together ... and they thought my walks with my calves down the street were a sight to see! Its so much fun to mess with peoples heads - except those rubber neckers make it kinda dangerous I guess. Anyway - you know where she is for your anytime visitations! :-) Much love from the farm! I am going to start blogging again, so everyone - stop over to my blog and keep up with her progress and see how she is at ANY time!!! Its been awhile since I've blogged but so much has changed on our farm, and now such a beautiful royal addition with Princess Porkchop - things just keep getting more and more exciting!

  7. I am so glad that she is going to such a nice place. Sometimes, as parents to animals (as well as children) we have to make hard decisions that we are know are best but it doesn't make it any easier or hurt any less.

  12. It's always hard to say good-bye, but those changes are just necessary sometimes. It's good that you'll be able to visit her. :-)

  13. This post made me cry, thinking about my Miss Piggy (5yo) that we lost January 2011. I too miss the grunts and squeals and all the joy that I got from looking out the window and watching her.
