Taken A Evening Stroll

I had my camera ready just at the perfect time to snap this pic of Tulip & Star taking their kids out to explore the barnyard & to sneak under the fence to the pasture.  Some of the kids follow the mommas over there from time to time, some say in the barnyard, they come & go as they please, everyones healthy & happy.  Both sets of kids are 2 weeks old now... so far I'm still loving this baby goat stuff.  I'm down in the barnyard with them just about every evening, I'll do my chores then sit down to watch em explore, they are really starting to get use to seeing my face down there & will come up to me, smell me, taste me, some will climb on me & some will even lay on my lap... now this is how you make friendly goats ;)

If you'd like to see more wonderful pics from last night go here:

* I dont think I have shared this with yall, cant remember but I have found wonderful homes for 4 of the kids, they are goin to 2 friends of mine (one friend is takin 3, the other friend 1, I'll have to blog about this later), the kids will be leaving at 2 months old, I'm so happy I'll get to visit & watch them grow, it makes it so much easier to sell em.  I am keeping alittle doeling, then I have one buckling left, he is so sweet, hes always the 1st to come greet me, I think about turning him into a wether & letting him stay here but not sure yet, I guess if the right person comes along & wants to buy him I might let them ;)

Hope you all have a family/friend filled holiday weekend... enjoy & stay safe.

Back to Milkin... alittle.

I'm so happy.  I've really missed my goat milk these past few months!

I locked the kids away from Tulip & Star last night & will do so from now on, everyone did great but boy those kids were happy to see their mommas when I let em out of the kid stall this morning. I locked em up so I could get back to milkin the girls... I didnt milk them out so the kids could have some too ;)

More cute goat pics... straw.

I think yall are gonna be seeing A LOT of cute goatie pics for awhile

So glad a friend (Sarah) thought to suggest I put straw or something down in the run so the goats dont have to walk in the mud... when it rains here the who run is nothing but mud.  Dont ask me why I've never thought to do this before, its so nice for them.  The kids were lovin it, running, jumping all around.  They even tasted some.

*** Naptime In The Barnyard ***

Look how else was enjoy the nice soft clean hay/straw... Ringo & Peanut.  They are in their own pen now, where they will stay.  I let them out in the main yard in the evenings to roam & munch.  I'm saving my money for a fenced so the boys will have their own grassy area.

I still have more cute pics to share on another day.
