About Stars 2013 babies and their new homes...

Thought I'd better share this about Stars 2013 kids...
I know before I even breed my girls I cant keep all the babies.  I've had a goat waiting list in 2011. I dont have the money or the room so I find them loving homes so far with friends I trust. It makes me so happy to know I can love on the babies all I want right now, spend as much time with them as possible then when its time their new families will come get them... they are getting healthy, friendly, happy goats from my lil farm.

All 3 are goin to wonderful, loving homes in a few short months.

This lil girl has been goin to my friend Stephanie over at Buttered Bread Homestead even before she was born... Stephanie has been on my goat waiting list for 2 doelings since May/June 2012.  What makes my heart so happy is that I'll still get to see her, watch her grow, love on her since she will only be 10 minutes away. We are prayin that Tulip is gonna give us atleast 1 more doeling but if she doesnt then Stephanie will get a buckling (wether) so Ruby will have a friend.  Stephanie and her girls are gonna be great goat mommas, so far they have been over every day to visit their lil Ruby.

I've been talkin with another friend Susie about these two sweet bucklings since they were born... she emailed me asking me if I knew anyone who had 2 baby goats for sale, shes just wanting 2 goats for pets, not milking.  So I suggested 2 wethers for her... wethers make wonderful pet.  wether is a castrated male goat. They do not stink like intact males and make great pets because they aren't aggressive. Who just had 2 new bucklings for sale... me!  So when its time I will be taking them to my vet so he can do the deed.  I'm very happy that Susie and her family will be buying these 2 sweeties from me as pets... they are animals lovers.  I know that Susie is gonna be a good goat momma, she will love them like I do and she lives a bid further than Stephanie but I can still go see them and visit, plus I can watch them grow on facebook, Susie is a picture takin/sharing fool like me!

We call this one Hershey...
but his new family has named him Cash

We call this one Peanut Butter...
but his new family has named him Willie

*** I'm blessed and so thankful God has found great loving homes for my babies again this year!

The Adventures Of Ruby... 1 Day Old

Ruby is our explorer. Ruby and her brothers are 1 day old
and heres what was goin on in the goat barn when I went out to feed this morning...

Ruby checking out the water bucket,
wont be long before shes sipping out of it

Ruby's two brothers were still snuggled up sleeping
while the rest of the herd was up moving around waiting on breakfast

Ruby decided she was gonna snuggle up with her brothers while I fed everyone

Tulip, Cocoa and Boots came in to munch on fresh hay...
Momma Star was outside munching on a pile

Ruby walked over to see what Tulip and Cocoa were doin and
I think she was lookin for her Momma

 Ruby wants some breakfast too.
(Now Tulip is the boss goat of my herd and shes already letting the new babies know that by nudging them when they come around her, wont take too many nudges and the babies will know to stay away from her)

Sweet Ruby makes her way over to me while I sit on the floor watching

Come here and snuggle with me Sweet Ruby...
I want to love on you

All snuggled in and ready for alittle goat nap :)

Stars 2013 Babies Are Here!

Finally they arrived on day 152... I'm so relieved. As soon as I walked outside I heard the sweet cries of baby goats and knew they were here.  I was so happy when I walked ran down to the goat barn and found Momma Star standing there with 3 sweet still damp beautiful, healthy babies... she was still licking them clean.  She had 1 doeling and 2 bucklings.  As of right now the sweet lil doeling (her name is Ruby) will be goin to live on my friend Stephanie's farm in a few months.  I pray when Tulip kids next month she gives more doelings, Stephanie's wants 2 doelings and her lil doeling will need a friend.

~ Heres what I saw when I got to the barn this morning at 6:30am

Doeling (Ruby) 5.5 pounds

 Buckling: 6 pounds

Buckling: 4.9 pounds

I love this life...
Gonna go snuggle sweet baby goats now!
