Chloes 2015 Kidding

When I went out to do morning chores I found 2 sweet surprises... Chloe kidded, it hadnt been long, the 2nd baby was still pretty wet and laying there and the placenta was hanging out of Chloe. Brian and I moved them from the goat house to my little barn with a heat lamp. I wanted Chloe to get to know her babies and figure things out as a new mom.  Chloe was 1 years old December 2014, I wasnt gonna breed her yet but my bucks had other plans... I believe by looking at these kids that my buck Silo is theyre Sire.  For those of you that follow me you know all these months have been a guessing game with Choles breeding and I was just guessing that she was due around March 28th. I stayed home today to make sure everything was goin good with Chloe and her kids.  I will be selling these kids, actually the doeling is already sold.

The buckling (black with tan, dark brown, white moonspots) weighs 4.3 lbs. and the doeling (black with white moonspots and tanish under belly) weighs 3.6 lbs. Smallest kids born in my herd so far.

New goat girls... Ruby & Lily

Well I bought two more goats...
a Doe (Ruby Girl is from a Star and Ringo breeding) and her 7 month old Doeling (Lily is from a Ruby and Silo breeding). My friend needed to sell them so I thought why not... Ruby girl hung out with my friends Alpine buck for a few days/week, she was in heat so hopefully shes bred and will kid in May 2015. I think my girls Cocoa & Chloe were happy to see other goats... Cocoa was letting them know she is the boss.

I think shes pretty cute and shes a sweet girl

Changes with My Little Goat Herd

My little goat herd changed again last Sunday (10-26-14)... long story short I sold Tulip & Star back to my friend Sarah over at Life At Goodwife Farm, visit her blog I know she will sharing the news soon. Tulip and Star have been with me about 3 years, I have learned so much from having them start my herd... my Cocoa & Chloe are Tulips daughters, they are my main girls now.  Cocoa was born May 2012 and Chloe Dec. 2013. I still have my two Nubian bucks Ringo & Silo.  The day Tulip and Star left they both were in heat they went on a date with Silo, hopefully they are bred and will be due to kid around March 2014... I will be getting two doelings from them. I plan on breeding Cocoa to Silo the next time I catch her in heat.

Ringo makes a great babysitter

Ringo is such a good, sweet buck...
He dont care one bit about the kids climbing, jumping, bouncing, sliding on him.
Then when they are done playing they just snuggle beside him and sleep.

Tulip day 144... Goo

Tulip is on day 144, she has started to loose her plug.
Shes due Dec. 29 but I'm lookin for her to kid Dec. 27

The pictures below I took last night while sittin in the goat house, day 143.
I noticed alittle blood on Tulips hoohaaaa and figured it was her plug starting to come out.  I wont be surprised if Tulip delivers Quads again this time, shes huge.  I prayed over her and the kids last night, I just want them Tulip and the kids to be safe and healthy

Keep Tulip and her babies in your prayers
