It seems there is always something to blog about with Our Little Farm lately... really hope ya'll enjoy them. I wasnt gonna post today but I couldnt resist when I opened the back door to go feed the animals this mornin and saw this...
Then after I fed/watered that animals I took Porkchop out to burn some energy off and go potty (as I type this shes sleepin all snuggled in her area) and I took these pics. to share...
Ahhh! I had a little banty hen just like your little gray one! We called her Little Gray (original I know!) Are those Muscovy ducks? I didn't know they roosted like that, that was too cute! Looks like they are gettin' their cold feet off the ground. I love the pics of Porkchop with the kitties. That really shows how small she is!
ReplyDeleteI like the scovies. If I could have ducks they would be one of my top choices.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, porkchop looks fat enough to .... well, I won't say it. ;)
I am already sick of the cold weather and it ain't really started yet. Tuesday and Wednesday our highs are not supposed to top 30.

What a beautiful morning on the farm. Your muscovies are beautiful. I’m glad lil porkchop got to play this morning with the kitties. Great way to start a day!

Thanks Guys :)
ReplyDeleteGoodwife: That lil bantam is from my original flock, got her as a chickie at the local TSC, she will be 2 this spring. Her name is Chipmunk (she looked like a chipmunk as a chickie). Yes those are Muscovies... except ducky, hes a pekin. Muscovies love to roost and fly around your yard, I love seeing them fly, really cool! Porkchop is growing fast but shes still little.
Matt: I love my Muscovies too... but 3/5 of them turned out to be boys so I gotta do something about that this spring. Dont you dare say it! We are not gonna...... our lil Porkchop LOL! I'm already sick of winter too!
Amy: It really was a beautiful mornin, so glad when I catch these days and get to go out and enjoy them with the animals.
Those are great pictures!
