I love bird watching...

Another hobby of mine is wild bird feeding/watching...
I ♥ it!

Gosh I've been feeding/watching wild birds since Kaylin (10 grade) was in... 5th grade! We went to the Christmas thing at her school that year and in the Science room they were giving away cardboard box bird houses. So we got one and put it out the very next day and thats all it took, I was hooked. The 1st birds to move in were a pair of Carolina Chickadee's and they had babies that spring! I make suet cakes for the wild birds that visit my feeders in the winter, which reminds me I need to do that............ save it for another blog :)

5 More Featherbabies...

I put 6 eggs under our 2nd broody on Nov. 5 and they decided to hatch alittle early, they started yesterday. I didnt expect them to start hatching til tomorrow or Wed. I candled the eggs during these past 3 weeks and had to throw 1 egg out cause it was a yolker. It was really cool to see the chickies developing and moving around in their eggs and even cooler to actually hear them peeping through the shell before they piped.

I'm so happy and THANKFUL the other 5 eggs made it.
I got some really great pic. from the 1st chickie to the 5th chickie.

I ♥ Chickies...
