Goodbye Mr. Big Stuff...

Mr. Big Stuff...

Is Gone! Something happened to him Thursday evening... I think a hawk must have got him, I had let the chickens out to free range and he never ventures far from the chicken coop/run area, I heard his lil squeaky crow during the day then when I went to feed the chickens dinner I didnt see or hear him and thought that was very strange, he always come running for food (I was taking them scraps too). I went looking for him thinking maybe he just wondered off too far, but didnt find him. Then when I went to lock em up for the night he wasnt in his spot on the roost... thats when I knew for sure... My Favorite Nov. 09 Bantam Was Gone. Its very sad. I really wanted to watch him grow, even if he was gonna be mean like his dad,
Sally Sue.

Heres some pics. of his lil chickie life...

I really miss him and hearing his squeaky lil crow...

Sally Sue with his new girl friends...

So about 5 of neighbors chickens have been coming over free ranging in our yard for the past week or so and Sally Sue my lil bantam roosters has taken up with them during they day, they walk around together, sally shows em where the good food is, I watch them scratch around in the woods... then in the evenings the 5 of them walk back across the pasture and go home. Sally Sue goes into the Chicken Shack to roost in his favorite spot with Cinnamon, Sugar and Goldie.
