Mr. Big Stuff...
Is Gone! Something happened to him Thursday evening... I think a hawk must have got him, I had let the chickens out to free range and he never ventures far from the chicken coop/run area, I heard his lil squeaky crow during the day then when I went to feed the chickens dinner I didnt see or hear him and thought that was very strange, he always come running for food (I was taking them scraps too). I went looking for him thinking maybe he just wondered off too far, but didnt find him. Then when I went to lock em up for the night he wasnt in his spot on the roost... thats when I knew for sure... My Favorite Nov. 09 Bantam Was Gone. Its very sad. I really wanted to watch him grow, even if he was gonna be mean like his dad,
Sally Sue.
Heres some pics. of his lil chickie life...

ReplyDeleteCallie we may cover it one day, but the chickens were out free ranging in the yard when it happened and hes so little a hawk could just scoop him right up :( I'm just thinking it was a hawk or our neighbors dogs...
Sorry you lost a feathered family member.

ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer, Thanks for visiting my blog. Sorry to hear about your Mr Big Stuff. You'd think with a name like that anything would be afraid to come near him :) All joking aside, I don't think it would have been a dog, as once thwey start they wont stop at just one...
