Just look at all them WEEDS! We have been pullin weeds all week, I'm gettin some nice garden workouts, should have some good lookin legs by the end of summer! lol
Looking better...
I've been working on these couple of rows of green beans and sugar snap peas
Green Bean Plant
My hard working honey... fixing the string for the sugar snap peas
Last night I moved 26 June chickies to the brooder... there are 17 more eggs in the bator, I really dont know if they are gonna hatch, gonna give them 1 or 2 more days then call it.
3 bantams that hatched, so cute!
It just fell asleep in my hand
and this lil one would have died if I hadnt helped it out of its shell when I did, I was ALMOST to late! Glad I could save it. Its doing fine running around in the brooder with the others.
This is the 1st lil chickie to hatch in my June bator hatch... I heard a cheep cheep yesterday when I put the eggs on lockdown, heard it all during the night and today. Then around 2:30 a lil mutt bantam hatched. Its early, poor lil chickie is lonely in the bator full of 41 eggs now, lol. There are LOTS of pips and I can hear more cheep cheeps...
This here chickie is the smallest chickie I've ever had runnin around with the flock in the chicken run/coop... its BO Momma really protects it, poor lil thing is too little to go back into the coop after momma brings it out so they sleep under the coop at night, I try to bring in at night but sometimes I cant reach em.
This bantam hatched in May from a secret nest Chipmunk one of my bantam hens was trying to make, Brian was cuttin grass one day and the tire to the tractor ran over the nest crushing all but 2 eggs, I put them under a broody bo and this one made it.
(Chipmunk has another hidden nest somewheres... I cant find it, but shes hasnt givin me eggs for almost 2 weeks now, she better bring me some babies in the next few weeks!)
I HATE Weeds... and they have taken over our gardens, really its embarrassing! This is our beet garden and just look at all those WEEDS! Poor lil beets cant even grow. We love beets and need a good harvest so I got out there this morning and started weedin. I took me 2 1/2 hours to weed what little I got done, Brian came out on his lunch break and did some of a roll. So guess what we are doing after dinner... yep... pullin more weeds!
I threw what weeds I picked to the chickens... they LOVE weeds, lol
* My June bator hatch is hatching... 1 little bantam hatched out this afternoon, 41 more eggs to go, blog later this week :)
