I played a Pay It Forward Challenge with Sunny at Sunny's Place and when my gifts came in I was so surprised cause I've been so busy lately I forgot that I would be getting some goodies in the mail! Its such a nice feeling to get something nice in the mail instead of BILLS! lol

Feb. 09 Chickies/Eggs...

Remember my Feb.09 bator hatch... They Are Hatching

Here's the 3 I ended up keeping at a couple weeks old, they all turned out to be pullets! So I should start seeing pullet eggs this month...

...and I have from Happy Mama. I noticed her checking out a nest box and later I collected a lil pullet egg from that box. She did that same thing today, so far she has her favorite box.

*** I was looking back trying to figure out how many chicks I ended up keeping from my hatches (I havent been keeping track very well), 3 from Feb., 3 from March, 9 from April and 22 chicks in May... something like that.

Ducky's New Friends...

We picked up Ducky's friends yesterday... 5 Muscovy ducklings. They got along right from the start and everyone's so happy at their new home :)

We took alot of GREAT pics. but I couldnt post them all, lol. So if ya wanna click here to see them... Ducky has 5 new friends

*The chickie in the pics. is from the lady I bought the ducklings, she gave it to me cause its a mixed breed and she couldnt keep it, it thinks its a duckling, lol. I've got it in the chickie brooder in the house, I've got some chickies hatching out in about a week so maybe they can be friends. I have 5 hens sitting on eggs :)

Follow The Leader...

Ducky has started following us around the yard when we take he/she out for playtime, its so cute. Heres Kaylin playing with Ducky...

I was going to let Ducky stay out in the lil pen for the day but he/she didnt like it. He/she wants to be with us or in the house brooder.

I already love this lil duck...
We have been playing with Ducky, taking pics. and having a good time! She loves her little outings out and about the yard. Beware there will be more post this week on her, we've just taken so many cute pics and I gotta share!

*Shes fast alseep in her brooder right now, I think we wore her out. Also I'm on the lookout for acouple of friends for her around her age until then she has us :)

Our Newest Farm Friend...

A friend brought us this cute lil duck today, he found it walking in his yard and didnt know where it came from, he lives in a neighborhood. He didnt want to just leave it so he thought of us, lol. I wish he had found 2 cause I dont want it to be lonely, I've got it in the house in my chickie brooder. I've got to do some reading on ducks since this is our 1st one... and advice would be helpful. We THINK is a Pekin Duck, what do you think?
