They all hatched yesterday... 8-16-10
Chipmunk FINALLY has some babies after trying all summer! She hatch 3 eggs, 1 of hers and 2 of Goldies (the whitish chick is hers). The BO hen hatched out 3 so far... she had 7 eggs under her, still waiting on 3 and the 1st one that hatched out yesterday died.
(I still have 3 BO broody hens taking turns sitting on 6 eggs...
they are surprise eggs I got from a friend)

This good BO momma hen took in the lonely chickie we had...treats it just like her own hatchlings :)

ReplyDeleteAww, so cute! I am very jealous since we aren't allowed to have roosters we don't get fertile eggs. I had a broody hen once that sat on some fertile eggs I bought for a couple weeks and then quit. She did that several times until I finally sold her. I wish one of my girls would be interested enough to see eggs through to a hatch...

ReplyDeletePotterwatchs Peeps, awww I've had some do that too, then I've had other that go broody for months. Maybe they will as they get older, how old are they, My broodies are about 1 1/2 years old.
