My sister/brother in law and their 2 kids got 20something chickies from my June Bator Hatch this year and I got to go visit them yesterday. They have turned out to be great chicken owners and the chicks have turned out to be beautiful chickens... They are getting around 12 eggs a day (must be nice, I'm lucky if I get 1 - 3 eggs a day right now, lol)
I really love their mean little bantam. Hes so beautiful.

They are beautiful and look like they are living a good life :) I am giving my nephew three chicks this week. He and his dad have been building a new coop for them. I think it will be so good :)

ReplyDeleteAgreed! The niece looks like a fun girl! My chickens always lay good the first year and then seem to take a break. Somr of mine are just now starting up again and getting 6-8 eggs almost every day. Some of my new ones are startng to lay
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny... I think my chickens have had a long enough break, time to get back to work, lol. I got 4 eggs today, I'd be happy to see 10-12 eggs a day (got 30something hens).
