I bought 95 more bales yesterday... that makes a total of 298 bales since I started buying hay for the winter months. I believe I'm goin into winter with about 350 bales of hay for the horses & goats. I'm sure I'll be buying & putting round bales out too. Some of the load fell off in that yard, I'm so glad it didnt fall off as we were goin down the road.
It always seems to take more than you can possibly imagine it would take! I used to buy 300 bales to get me through November-April for Champ and Boss and the goats, and I usually didn't have to start feeding hay until December and could usually quit by late March.
