Fiona

My sweet filly... Fiona, she is 10 months old. Its hard to believe that about 7-7 1/2 months ago you couldnt even touch her and now I'm walking up to her while shes resting, rubbing and loving all over her and even laying with her.  She makes me proud, I love the bond we are creating. I love that she trust me, I've learned a lot from her and shes learned a lot from me.  I'm excited to see us grow with each other through the years.

I think I could have really took a nap with her, lol

 She melts my heart

My Horses

After I got home from work today I went about my barnyard chores... feeding baby goats, throwing hay to my Does and Bucks, giving fresh water, collecting eggs and then I took advantage of the beautiful sunshine by spending time with Flicka, Clue and Fiona.

I love spending time with my girls.
I love that they know I truly love them.

These I took on Sunday...
My niece Keyarra and nephew Jacob wanted to hangout with the horses

 I love this

Fiona and a Saddle Pad

It was around 60 today here in Kentucky, that is crazy for January. After work I enjoyed it by playing in the yard, I went to get Clue out but she was being a snot and followed Flickas lead so I just got Fiona out... I tied Fiona to the hitching post (I didnt leave her, she doesnt know how to be tied yet) while I groomed her and picked up her feet, she did pretty good. Then I got Flickas saddle pad, put it on the ground and let Fiona walk up to it and take a sniff... I held it and let her sniff, I rubbed it down her neck... she didnt care so I put it on her back... no big deal. Then I walked her around the main yard with it on... she didnt care.  But she did care that she was away from Flicka and Clue... I had to get after a few times.  I let her munch in the yard then we took a walk down the road.  I think I spent about 45 minutes with her.  Shes growing so fast. She 9 months old now.

Predicting Fiona's Height

I always wonder how tall Miss. Fiona is gonna be, her Dam is 13.2 and we have no idea how tall the Sire was since the Dam was already bred when a friend rescued her. I would like Fiona to be atleast as tall as her mom or alittle taller.  A friend shared this link with me Predicting yearling and foal height growth using String Testing and I did it this evening.

OOoo Fiona I just love you, lol

Shes just like a human kid when you go to give her a kiss

Method #2 predicts that Fiona will be 14 hands...
We shall see
