Goat Lovin Is In The Air... Tulip

I noticed Tulip is in heat so I ran her to The Boyfriends house this mornin & as soon as they saw each other goat lovin was in the air! I stayed to see if anything was gonna happen & lets just say there was alot of flirting & mating goin on. Tulip did the hunch thing after acouple mates. I really hope shes bred... if she doesnt come back into heat in 18-21 days then I will know she is. I'm hopin Our Little Farm will have goat babies this May! I'll keep yall posted.

My New Hens...

I picked these 6 girls up Monday from my friend The Goodwife... she couldnt keep them anymore because they are movin to Montana. I'm sad to see them move out of Kentucky so fast but happy for them on their new adventure. I'm thankful God brought them here & we got to meet in person & became real life friends, I'm thankful I got to buy Tulip & Star from her.

The white ones are Delawares, the brown ones with the feathers on their cheeks are Salmon Favorelles, the dark brown one with speckles is a Speckled Sussex, and Afrane Jane is a Silver Polish... she belonged to The Goodwifes daughter. These girls are beautiful & they have given me 4 eggs so far, I put them in the Silkie coop/pen

Happy girls at their new home :)

Bred Or Not Bred...

That is the question... You see there is a chance Tulip & Star are bred, they hung out with The Goodwifes buck for a few weeks before she sold him & if they are bred they should be due the end of this month. So I'm tryin to figure out if one, both or any are & get prepared.

Please click here & look at the other pics. then let me know what you think,

Hangin out with the animals...

Its December 1st & look at this warmish, sunshinish day we had here, it was really nice. My cousin & her 2 boys came over for a visit. I let Porkchop, Annabel & Ellie Mae out into the main yard for a bit to explore while we sat out there & watched em..

I hope tomorrow is just as nice, I'm not ready for snow yet.
