Around The Chicken Farm... part 3

All about roosters and guineas...

Chicken Noodle... keeping an eye on me, lol

Charlie... Heard him crow for the 1st time the other day, hes 6 months old now

Now lets talk about mean ol Sally Sue...

This is his new home during the day cause hes flogged me 1 too many times lately! I swear hes holding a grudge against me for locking him in the cage for acouple of hours the other day, cause now he just keeps coming after me! Last night I let him out to go into the coop and he came after me, I grabbed him by his tail then held him for awhile... but thats another blog =)

I think hes trying to tell him HES THE BOSS...
We are going to make him some kind of coop and run this summer and get him some more girls.

Sidekick And Elvis

(The only 2 left from my Nov. hatch, I sold them on Monday.. hated to see them go but I had too many roosters, 6... they started crowing here and there last week)

Some of the guineas... enjoying the sun shine

Stop bugging me with that camera!

*The only rooster I didnt get a pic of that day was Big Daddy.

  1. Luckily I havent had that problem with any of my roosters YET! Lol
I have a game rooster that showed up here, one that the neighbor brought home for the dogs to get, remember the hen came over here 1st. I put her in the pen and she's been giving us some good size eggs for game hen. But the rooster just stays here back around the pens along with one of our original roosters that I let run free. They are quite a pair of roosters. The wild game roo walks to our back woodline and roosts in a tree and our original roo thats stays out roosts on the dog house..Lol...only got 3 roos in the big pen and 2 roos in the silky pen...none of em are mean though, luckily ; )
