These 2 chicks were the last to hatch & they are sooo tiny. I had to give them a bath which probably saved their lives cause when they dried in the bator they dried all stiff, one was even stuck to the bator floor, poor thing. I never thought I'd be giving chickies a bath...

I happy to say they are doing great in the brooder with the rest of the hatch even though they are so much smaller than the other ones. I love goin out to the shed and watchin them... thats where I'm headed right now with my crochet hook/yarn & work on a magic potholder........ chickie tv is so great :)
Awwwww!!! They are darling! So glad you were there to take care of them. Do you still have your chickie tv in the house like last year?
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteit always amazes me how just a few fluffy feathers increases the cuteness factor! :)
glad you were their lifesaver!
They are tiny! So glad they made it after your care! I hope they will all get big and strong!
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys... I'm so glad I was here to help them, sometimes ya gotta know when to step in and take a chance to help with each hatch.
ReplyDeleteGoodwife: My honey put his foot down this year, chickie tv is now in the shed, lol. But thats ok, its nice out there & after we build a garage the shed is all mine for chickies :)
Mountain Mama: That is soooo true, the feathers add so much cuteness, lol
texwisgirl: I hope so too, hope they are girls and give me lots of eggs, lol.
Are these all bantams? So tiny.
ReplyDeleteNo Michalele... alot of them are just standard chickens although they could have half bantam in em & your question got me thinkin, the 2 itty bitties are bantams just smaller than the other 2 that hatched. If I dont write this stuff down (which I didnt) I forget, lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, I'm sure they were glad to get "unglued"!
ReplyDeleteChickie TV...that sounds addictive!
