Hoof Trimming, Lard & Goat Ice Cream

Had company today...

Sarah (Thickin' and Thinnin' at Goodwife Farm) & her family came to visit & she trimmed hoofs for me, which I'm thankful for.

She also brought me a lil gift today... lard she had rendered earlier this week. I think that was so sweet of her. I can wait to use it, think I might have to made some kind of pie sometime soon. I sent her home with 2 quarts of goats milk so they would have some hm goat ice cream, speakin of hm goat ice cream...

They brought their ice cream maker & we made some tonight...
Its soooo good.

(One of my cousins & her family was over too & they loved the ice cream)

  1. Great pic of the hoof trimming. I blogged about it too. I think it will be better when I get a milking stand. I am looking forward to goat milk and making ice cream.

  8. Thank you for stopping by my blog! Good luck on the giveaway!

I would love to try some of your Goats milk ice-cream! When I was younger, my father was stationed in Iceland and we ate Goats milk ice-cream year round! I remember it was some of the best ice-cream I've ever tasted!
