Or just across the pasture, lol
These are my neighbors new goats...
1 Buck & 3 Does Nubians, arent they pretty.
The Buck
Hes thinkin this Doe is pregnant
Keyarra had to have her pic taken with 1 of the girls
I walked Tulip & Star over to meet the new goats & to see how they would act being around a buck... they havent been around a buck for a few months. Do any of you know if I can or should breed my Kinder girls with a Nubian buck?
Star was the first to go in & check out the new goats...
Then Tulip finally went in to check everyone out
& to try their food, lol
Very cute pictures!
ReplyDeleteAwww, how cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to check out new neighbors.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I just said to EJ, Tulip didn't go in to check everybody out, it was to steal their food! HA! That buck is young, but hopefully he'll know what to do. The does aren't much bigger than Tulip and Star so maybe they all come from a smaller Nubian line. You'll get some loud kids out of that buck I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the Goodwife~there doesn't seem to be a big size difference, so I don't know why you couldn't breed them.
ReplyDeleteHow cute. That looks like that was fun.
ReplyDeleteI think anything you breed with a Nubian will increase milk production. But then again I don't know much about your breed. Out of some bad experiences, the first thing I always think about when putting goats together like this is - have the been tested to be CAE free? I don't know about your area, but in some areas it is something to be aware of. There is no cure. That buck should offer some interesting colored kids. I love his spots.
ReplyDeleteUh-oh... should not have looked. Makes me want some goats again :-/
