Fiona: Bath and Loading/Unloading

Fiona learned a lot yesterday and so did I... she got her first bath, seen her mom (Pretty, Pretty Princess), met another Filly, took them for a walk, she learned how to load herself and unload. She also got dewormed and I will be starting her on alittle grain.  Gonna work on backing her up from the ground.

Workin Horses...

I have a new friend and hes pretty dang great working with horses and people too.  He worked with my friend Rachels mare (Jessie) yesterday evening to see if Rachel and Jessie would make a good pair... short story... They do not. So Rachel is selling Jessie.  It was pretty dang amazing to me to watch Nelson work with Jessie in the round pen, from what everyone could see shes not been worked like that.  After Jessie was worked it was Miss. Flickas turn... she did real good. Then it was my turned. I think I did pretty good too.  He had me get on her in the round pen while he worked her, then after a few minutes he told me I could not hold on to the reins or saddle. I was thinkin WHAT? ARE YOU CRAZY Now I must admit I was freakin scared, I just knew I was gonna go flyin off Flicka... I didnt... but a few times it sure did feel like I was goin to. I had to cheat some and grab my saddle... not holdin on was huge step for me. I loved yesterday. I got this.  I really wish I had a round pen at my place... maybe one day.

He said Flicka is a great Mare
