Sally Sue Is The Man...

I'm think some of my bantams are layin somewhere other than the coops, so last night I moved em all into the Bantam Tractor. Sally Sue has 9 girls now, he should be one happy lil rooster!

(-Sunshine)

As you all know my girls are not layin good for me, so a friend suggested I add Cayenne pepper to their feed, so I had a 12 oz. container of dried hot peppers we grew and dumped the whole thing in their fed container (not this little container) and mixed it all in. I've also mixed in some scratch and sunflower seeds... lets see if all this is gonna help.

Shes got the right idea, lol

  2. What a good lookin group. I wonder why the cayenne makes them lay eggs. I will be watching to see what happens.

  3. Thank You Becky. She told me it raises their body temperature and helps them lay? I have know idea, but at this point I'll try just about anything to get them layin better, lol. I've got 40 girls and collected 4 eggs in the past 2 days.

  4. Interesting about the cayenne..I've heard that it will eleiminate parasites if they have any. Let us know if it helps egg production though.
Fingers crossed that you get lots of eggs ;)

  9. I had a flock when we first got married that I fed for 2 YEARS with no eggs! When sold that farm and moved, my mom took those chickens and they started laying right away. Maybe you should take them on a car ride........LOL!!
