  1. Ughh the dreaded coop cleanin day. Me and the youngest did that chore last weekend. I was pretty sore the next day from all the shoveling. Its a great workout though ; )

  6. Your coop looks great! I'm champin at the bit to order my chicks, but it's just so cold right now and they do better when I order them when it's a little warmer. They do love that hay and straw to scratch around in don't they?

  7. Your coops look so fresh and clean--good for you :) You haven’t had any duck eggs yet? You will get them and they will be nice and big and rich. Your chickens are always so pretty and full. Love chicken pics :)

  8. Thank You Goodwife: Yes they do. Cant wait to see your chickies when you get them!

Thank You Verde Farm: I was going to wait til it warmed up to clean them out but they were just way to bad to wait, I was ashamed of how dirty they were! Nope, no duck eggs, I'm guessin that my ducks will be 1 year old around June/July, so I'm guessin I'll get my 1st egg this spring? Unless they are layin in the woods, I pray not!

  9. Seeing your coup makes me wish I had used straw instead of pinechips for bedding and nest material. It looks so much more invitingly country :)
