Milk Stand Is Done...

My honey finished my milkin stand yesterday, I still have to tie both of Stars legs off... she gives me trouble & tries to kick my hands off while I'm milkin her, unless shes eatin. But as soon as the food is gone, she thinks I should be done... She needs to eat slower, lol

  1. So this is what I have to look forward to. I have 3 young does and I getting a baby buckling in 2 weeks. 2 of my girls were bottle fed, I hope this makes them more patient. Hopeful Star will get better. Is she nursing a kid? I'm debated about that. I've read that that makes them hard to milk.
    I love bottle feeding kids.

  2. What a sturdy stanchion! She'll probably get better as she gets used to it even more. I'm not sure what you are feeding, but some types of feed will help slow her down. I give Minnie a complete goat feed that has alfalfa pellets, so it's not all grain. Half the time, she just chews her cud while I'm milking.
