Flicka, Clue and Fiona

 After supper & barnyard chores we thought it would be nice to catch "The Girls" and just hang out with them in the main yard.  When they first saw us coming with the lead ropes they kinda thought about taking off but didnt... But I know they were thinking... " Oooo crap we're gonna have to chase cows again", lol (we helped work cattle last Sunday). Before putting them back in the barnyard we brushed them and I picked their hooves.This will teach them that not every time we come with the lead rope we're gonna ride or they have to work

Fiona: Bath and Loading/Unloading

 Fiona learned a lot yesterday and so did I... she got her first bath, seen her mom (Pretty, Pretty Princess), met another Filly, took them for a walk, she learned how to load herself and unload. She also got dewormed and I will be starting her on alittle grain.  Gonna work on backing her up from the ground.

Moody Mare

Yesterday morning I looked out the kitchen window and seen Flicka running around like a beast so I grabbed the camera and went out on the porch to watch the show and to see what was goin on with her, it looked like she was telling Clue she wants to be the boss mare or Clue just ticked her off. Flicka was running, snorting, kicking up her heals, pinning her ears back while goin after Clue.  My mares are the best of friends, they normally get along great and love each other... after this lil show they were fine again.

Lean to

The use to be the goat house when we decided to make it a lean to for the horses we only had Flicka so we just took the side with the door off... then more horses came along and this shelter really isnt big enough for three horses, someones butt was always sticking out and now even with just Flicka & Clue I see Clue's butt sticking out... so this evening we took the front off, see how this is gonna work and if we're still living here we plan on adding the side back on for winter.
