Great photos! I locked my broody hens away from the nest boxes in the pen with food and water for one day for the Buff and three days for the Australorp. The third day the Australorp was in the pen all night. I have read of people putting broody hens in cages with wire bottoms with food and water so their tummy cools down. It was easier for me to use the pen. It would be great to have a hen and chicks but I don't have a rooster. Cute kitty!
Thanks Callie :) I may have to try this if I get too many broodies, right now I still have 2 sittin on nest, 1 (chipmunk lil bantam)hidden eggs again, so I'm thinkin shes going broody (this time I'm just gonna let her be)and I think I got some more BOs going broody, have to see.
