Poor Cleo, sleepin on the roost area all by herself. Usually Sally Sue sleeps up there with her and Goldie does too when shes not being a Momma. Storms where rollin in for the night so maybe Sally Sue knew and wanted to stay dry?
Oh my gosh, that is sooo cute!! You should write a bedtime story for little ones and use those for the illustrations! I love it!

ReplyDeleteJennifer, that is the most adorable, sweetest scene ever. Chickens continue to amaze me. Sometimes they can be so sweet and other times they can be so horrible. This is a wonderful moment you caught on camera :)

Thank You Amy... I think its soooo sweet too. That little bantam rooster is one of my original chickens when I got started spring 2009 he was nice for awhile, then turned soooo mean! He will flog me every chance he gets... but he has been really sweet to that chick and hes good to his girls.
ReplyDeleteCute, Jen. ....ah... do you need any more roosters?? DH went to the Fairview auction last Saturday, while I stayed home and painted. He came home with 36 more chickens, LOL!! So pretty they all are but too many roosters!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sunny... Sorry dont need any more roosters here, I have 10 still, 3 we are gonna fatten up for freezer camp, and now that I had to do some movin around with chicken, ducks, piglet I dont have a pen for roosters anymore... hummm looks like we'll have to build on this spring, lol
