Star due anytime now......

She could go into labor anytime now or she could make us wait til 2/16 (Day 150).  

I pray she goes soon.  I also pray for easy delivery and healthy babies

Goin by Star's 1st date with Ringo yesterday maked 2 more weeks before she kids. When I went out to collect eggs yesterday night I sat in the goat barn for a few minutes watchin them rest/sleep. Star and her son Boots were cuddled up together, Star's belly looked so big and I saw the babies moving around in it... I didnt try to feel them cause she doesnt like that. She was moaning alittle I'm sure shes already uncomfortable being so big. I miss having babies on my farm, cant wait to see the lil cuties ♥

Flicka: Day 4

When I went out to do morning barnyard chores I saw there was a nice big pile of poo in the goat barn that says Miss. Flicka was in there sometime during the night... honestly I didnt think she could fit through the door.  Flicka and the goats seem to be getting along just fine... this afternoon I saw Star out with Flicka stuffing their faces with fresh hay.

 The goats didnt care about the big pile of horse poo in the middle of the barn, lol.  Dont worry I pitched it out into the yard.  They were just worried about stuffing their faces with breakfast!

 Flicka enjoyin her breakfast... shes doin great here.  I'm really glad I changed my mind and didnt five up so fast... I know everything will work out with Gods help.

 When I went food shopping this evening I pick up some treats for Miss. Flicka.  She loves carrots, havent given her apple slices yet, maybe tomorrow :)

The weather while I did evening barnyard chores... wet snow and alittle hail.  Its been raining here since Thursday.  The rain really dont bother me, its the MUD I hate. I love sitting on the couch, lookin out the window into the barnyard, while workin on a crochet project and sipping a mug of hot coffee or chocolate. 

Stars Babies Are Here........

Woooweeeeeeee so glad kidding season on my lil farm is over... scary stuff right there for this city turned country girl! I love it & hate it all at the same time, lol. Guess yall wanna know what Star had... huh? Well she had 1 girl & 2 boys in that order. Everyone is beautiful, healthy already up almost dry, eating & walkin around. I'm in more love now. 

Star was acting strange so I had my brother go get my goat friend neighbor

The baby was was coming out in an abnormal position, breech, butt first, legs bent. 

Thank god my neighbor was here to help. 

Doeling:  5.2 lbs

Star... almost 5 months

Star....  Sorry for all the crazy back & forth Star business lately but her 1st due date was more correct I do believe, which is May 12.  But I do kinda think she will go before then, shes so HUGE & at night when I check on them before goin to bed she is so uncomfortable... time will tell. I took the pics below last night... dont worry there is nothing wrong with Stars eye, she just didnt like the flash of the camera. I've noticed the past few days that Star has gotten mean towards the boys. If she could fling them across the barnyard, I do believe she would, lol. They just look at her wrong & she rams em..... better get back boys, Stars on the war path ;)

I "think" she was bred Dec. 14 or 15.

So she is due around May 12 Heres she is around 2 months, 3 months & 4 months... its really fun to look back at the post & see how much she has grown. 

Between Tulip & Star babies are gonna be everywhere... I cant wait!

Update on Star... Day 147

Well as most of you know from yesterdays post Star and alittle goo could go into labor anytime... These pics I took yesterday & last night, no babies yet but yesterday was day 147. Instead of pacing the floors waitin for paint to dry... I mean Star to go into real labor & have her kids, I went about my day doin chores, cleanin house, laundry, dishes then I decided since it was such a beautiful mornin/afternoon I'd let the girls out into the main yard to free range while I sat out in the shade & did alittle crochet.  The rest of the herd was in the pasture.

Last night I went ahead & put Star in the kiddin stall just incase anything happened during the night... this is when I wish I had a baby monitor, need to get one.

Star... almost 4 months

Star is 4 months pregnant now... and she is really gettin BIG, I'm gonna say shes got 3 in there too, we will see. I see & feel her babies move & kick all the time, its so cool! She only lets me touch the sides of her belly when shes busy eatin, lol. I've started puttin her on the milk stand to eat her grain so I know shes gettin her fair share & plenty for the babies growin in her belly, she gets 1 soup can of sweet feed mornin & evenin, in about a week I'll give her 2 soup cans. I trimmed her hooves on 3 30 12, I'll check them 1 more time as her due date gets closer & I dewormed her last week. If you would really like to watch her grow I'm gonna post pics the beginning of every week.

Theres gonna be alot of cute baby goats on Our Little Farm in May... cause Star is due then too. Ya know that noise Does make when they are pregnant... well Star makes that noise all the time, she has for awhile now. I havent heard Tulip makin that noise yet.
