We got snow last night...
It was still snowing around 7:00 this morning when I went out to feed the chickens and give them unfrozen water and there were NO chickens in the run... very unusual! Some of the chickens started to wonder out when they heard me coming. But most of them stayed inside the coop away from the white stuff, lol. I put food and water inside the coop for them.
The gave us 12 eggs today

Our chickens are stayin in there coop too..a few are a lil goofy and still wanna roost outside..we have a heat light in ours and I put a digital thermometer out there, it keeps it lil warmer but not much.I dont know if its the light or what but they are still givin us about 20 eggs a day...friend of mine here hasnt been gettin any at all...I told her when her production picks up come spring mine will probably go on strike..lol!
ReplyDeleteI think in the future we need to add a heat light to our coop... have to talk husband into it, lol. 20 eggs a day still, that is great, I only got 8 yesterday :(
