They dont want to come out, dont really blame em

Sally Sue gettin brave...

"Cock a doodle dooooo"

Now this was too funny! He flew off that roost, landed in the snow and was stuck!
I had to go pick his mean lil butt up

So Beautiful... but some mean!

Pretty...
* Brian went out and shoveled some of the run for me (and the chickens)
Thanks for sharing your chicken pics. Love them, it is beautiful here today, already in the mid 40s with the sun shining and while I don't want snow it is beautiful to look at.
ReplyDeleteWith a name like "Sally Sue", I can see why he would be mean. I bet all the other birds laugh at him. ;)
ReplyDelete~~Matt~~
Amanda - Your very welcome, thanks for taking the time to read my blog... its 24 degrees right now.
ReplyDeleteFoothills Poultry - I know, I know, lol I get that all the time! I thought he was a she as a chick and when I learned he was a he... it was too late, he was "Sally Sue" to me :) Our 2 buff roos (Big Daddy & Chicken Noodle) do treat him like one of the girls, lol. But Sally Sue does have is own 3-4 girls, lol
The rooster in the snow was funny. I am not envying you the low temperatures and snow. 40 is cold enough for me today. I love the snow, but not the cold and problems it causes. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Callie...
ReplyDeleteI usually dont like the snow, but this time around I loved it... well not the taking care of chickens with snow part. Its 24 degrees right now.
Lol at the Roo in the snow...Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI love dropping by to get my 'fix' on chickens. I don't have any but hope to in the future. Your adventures are wonderful to read and the pictures are marvelous.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great blog.
Trish... it was sooo funny watching him fly, land and get stuck, lol. Just glad I was still down there to help his mean butt out.
