I was thinking something yesterday when I went out to visit the chickens, I wasnt out there very long but I did notice one was missing and I was hoping it was just snuggled up with another chicken somewhere under the coop...
But when I went out today I still didnt see it. It was one of the Easter Egger/ OEGB chickies. So I'm guessing a hawk came down and got it... its very sad but sometimes that happens. One day I do plan on us putting a net over the run so that wont happen. I'm hopping we wont lose anymore. We lost one of our Sept. chickies this way too when they were little.

ReplyDeleteaww.. I lost 3 BCM to this cold we recently had.. Not cheap things either!!
ReplyDeleteIt always sad when you lose one... I hope it starts to warm up soon. Today it was nice sunny and around 50 degrees here, the chickens loved it!
