Good Night Chickies...

It was so nice here today, got up to 50 degrees! The snow is melting, the birds are singing, I hope Spring is on its way! The chickens loved all the sun shine today and stayed out in the run. So since it was so nice out thought I'd better take advantage of it and clean the coop of all the poo! I cleaned out the nest boxes and put down some nice clean wood shavings. The coop is all purtty... but it wont last long!

    If I take pics of the birds after hours, they get really mad. Yours don't look very happy about it either. :)

    ahhh..I cleaned mine out today. Its been needin a good cleanin, but its been either rainy or cold..this evening was a good time. Do you find it better using the wood shavings rather than hay..I've never used the shavings, so I was just wanderin.

    Don't you love the little bit of warm weather that makes winter more tolerable? I desperately need to clean out my coop too. I hope to do it this weekend. Your chicks look good!

    tberry29 - I do like the wood shavings on the floor better and hay for the nest boxes, but I'm out of hay.
